Carrying out works to this 18th century Grade II listed old bank, along Hawkhurst High Street was certainly a delicate matter.

With two kids at secondary school and both Joss & Stef working from home, they were keen to knock through there old kitchen/ dining room and add large patio doors to create a much larger and brighter, family hub of the home.

By incorporating modern building techniques and amenities with the period charm and detail of this building, we had to work closely with the planning department, structural engineer and bespoke kitchen fitter, to create a contemporary 'industrial chic' style that the clients desired.

Two steel beams installed, the floor levelled, ceiling dropped and a new opening for patio doors were initial works to create the large open space to work with. An engineered dark oak floor complimented the newly fitted hand made kitchen, with new access then created into a pantry, storage cupboard, utility room and downstairs toilet. A mini HD projector mounted in the ceiling above the kitchen island, along with USB socket ports, a modern lighting system and a wireless Bluetooth surround sound system really brought this entertaining space into the 21st century.
